hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have
flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our
normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:30pm. It may be necessary,
given the business need, to work occasional overtime. *All
Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's
Telecommuter Policy.Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the Trust Fund eligibility department with quality and
compliance oversight
- Look for opportunities for efficiency improvements within
current processes to increase quality of work.
- Ensure the department adheres to all appropriate compliance,
policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Ensure all required notices are distributed
- Assist with interpreting ERISA plan documents for health and
welfare plans as well as pension plans to ensure we are
administering plans as intended.
- Keeps abreast of regulatory developments affecting internal
processes as well as our clients.
- Manage the implementation of compliance-related matters,
working with department leaders to ensure proper implementation and
systems owners to ensure systems are programmed appropriately.
- Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with
violations of regulatory guidelines and internal compliance
policies.
- Complete periodic filings with the IRS, PBGC and state
department of revenue offices.
- Assistance with reconciliation of bank accounts or enrollment
data
- Assist in the coordination and support for annual audits.You'll

other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources,
Management experience OR Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Business,
Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Management
- 1+ years of experience with employee benefits including health
insurance and/or pensions
- Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word (create
correspondence and work within templates), Microsoft Excel (ability
to sort, filter, and create simple spreadsheets), and Microsoft
Outlook (email and calendar managementPreferred Qualifications:
- Bank account reconciliation experience
- Experience with of enrollment data and audit data entered by
the team.
- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret Internal Revenue
Service (IRS) and Department of Labor (DOL) regulations and plan
documents.
- Experience with federal and state regulations, filing and
compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting
employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, IRS,
and DOL requirementsTelecommuting Requirements:
- Reside within Lexington, KY
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is
separated from other living areas and provides information
privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if
applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group
approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing
high-speed internet serviceSoft Skills:
