Physical Requirements Sitting for long periods of time, routine
Shift Monday through Friday 8-5:00. Some evenings, weekends and
travel will be required.
Job Summary The Department of Student Media in the College of
Communication and Information seeks a motivated Student Media
Coordinator to serve as a mentor to students working on all
publications produced by student media, including the Kentucky
Kernel newspaper, KRNL Lifestyle + Fashion Magazine, Year in
Photos, and multimedia projects. This position will be responsible
for mentoring and supporting student writers and content creators
from idea through publication and distribution, as well as support
the administrative needs of the unit. The Student Media Coordinator
will also be responsible for the planning for events, workshops,
and contest entry for the department.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Fluency with Adobe creative suite
required. Familiarity with other electronic content creation
platforms a plus.
