Job Description Job Description The Galt House Hotel is looking for an HVAC Technician to perform the overall repairs related to heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, in accordance with management directives. Free Parking Employee meal (lunch or dinner) Room discount after 3 months of employment Free gym facilities Access to daily pay 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Work Requirements Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to correct temperature conditions and to make adjustments Maintain, monitor, repair, conduct routine preventive maintenance and non-scheduled maintenance of all heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment including, but not limited to, replacing mechanical seals, re-packing pumps and valves, replacing bearings and bets, checking for proper alignment, repairing fan coil units, brazing and soldering, calibrating controls, working on pressure vessels, replacing piping and fittings Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention Conduct visual inspections of gauges, dials and mechanical equipment Assist in start-up, shut-down and operation of all heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment Utilizes high lift for maintenance tasks when required. Reports equipment repair requirements to supervisor. Performs preventative maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs on HVAC systems. Performs seasonal overhauls and transitions of systems to and from heating/cooling. Coordinates major component replacement and evaluation of complex system problems. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes workplace safety. Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of heating, ventilation and air condition small repair inventory. Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using appropriate tools and testing equipment. Troubleshoots and repairs electric controls, motor control panels and programmable logic controls. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Responsibility for maintaining an adequate inventory of electrical repair supplies. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications HVAC Experience (1 year minimum - Required ) Ability to operate manual and power tools used in the performance of HVAC maintenance work. Ability to prepare maintenance reports. Knowledge of general safety rules, requirements, procedures and reporting requirements necessary to maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Have the ability to complete work accurately and in accordance with company standards. Ability to reason and use strong judgment skills. Strong leadership skills teamwork orientation.
