Job Summary The College of Public Health, Department of Health
Management and Policy is seeking an academic researcher to provide
expertise to further the goals of the college consistent with its
mission. This Research Title Series position (non-tenure eligible,
12-month assignment period) will provide quantitative methods and
analytical expertise to support the implementation of the
Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management ( TCOM )
framework using the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths ( CANS
) and related TCOM tools within the Center for Innovation in
Population Health. The position requires a candidate with the
ability to develop and implement innovative methods and research
projects using TCOM data, prepare and submit papers to
peer-reviewed journals based on this work, and offer educational
workshops and curricular support for population-based data related
to the mission of the Center.This faculty position will liaise with
multiple TCOM system partners and work with University of Kentucky
and College of Public Health researchers to shape their research to
include person-centered perspectives and data. The anticipated
start date is early 2023.
The individual in this position will be expected to conduct
rigorous research using quantitative methods to support the mission
of the Center (e.g. Transformational Collaborative Outcomes
Management or TCOM -related work with agencies and jurisdictions).
This empirical work will include developing and conducting research
projects in the candidate's areas of methodological expertise to
identify gaps and create new knowledge related to TCOM . This
faculty member will serve as a critical member of the Center team,
offering input on projects and papers in their areas of expertise.
They will also provide technical and analytic assistance in their
areas of expertise and contribute to curriculum development and
educational programming for social service and behavioral health
professionals in the field. In time, this individual will be
expected to prepare applications for contract and/or grant funding
and make scientific and educational presentations at professional
meetings. No regularly scheduled teaching activity will be
assigned. The anticipated distribution of effort is
Research/Scholarly Activity 95%; Professional Development 5%.
Faculty distribution of effort is negotiated annually with the
department chair and adjusted as needed.
