Job Description:
A company is looking for an Delaware State Licensed Teacher of
the Deaf.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver virtual instruction and support to students who are deaf or
hard of hearing
Partake in the development and implementation of individualized
education plans (IEPs) for students based on their unique needs and
goals
Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to
ensure the successful inclusion of students with hearing
impairments
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a
related field (Master's degree preferred)
Valid teaching certification in Deaf Education in the state of
Delaware
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with other
communication modes used by individuals who are deaf or hard of
hearing
Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing,
preferably in a remote or online setting
Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
