General Description of the RoleThe Electrical Engineer will coordinate the activities and processes involved with Electrical Engineering work in all areas of the plant. The Electrical Engineer will provide electrical programming, technical and project support for all new installations and upgrades at the Lawrenceburg facility while maintaining a safe and orderly work environment, ensuring product quality, and supporting organizational goals and objectives.
Mission/ObjectivesThe Electrical Engineer will analyze processes and implement changes to improve efficiency, safety and quality in the plant. This will be standardized and documented to ensure stability and consistency.
Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Directly involved providing electrical expertise, technical support, communications and project support and management of new installations and upgrades covering all areas of the Lawrenceburg facility
  • Directly involved in upgrading existing plant methods and operations to include, but not limited to electrical upgrades, project design involvement and management, optimization, negotiations etc.
  • Maintain and organize current electrical and P&ID prints and drawings
  • Lead management of change activities for Electrical projects
  • Ensure proper procedures to ensure all electrical systems are in place and detailed
  • Be instrumental in training and supporting future qualified personnel for both union and non-union positions
  • Provide technical support for maintenance, engineering, IT, integration contractors
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and all other regulatory requirement
  • Work with appropriate internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and/or to resolve risks when identified
  • Comply with TTB and other regulatory requirements
  • Manage invoices and PO's for any projects
  • In coordination with the site EH&S Manager, ensure all operations comply with GMP practices and site safety rules
  • Implement and sustain all relevant ISO and food safety standards. Lead and/or participate in safety meetings as designated.

        • BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering
          Experience
          • Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Electrical Engineering work in a Manufacturing Environment
          • Experience with Rockwell Automation is required.
            Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
            • Knowledge of relevant maintenance standards, regulations, and legislation
              • Experience with B&R, Progea, PNOZ Multi, Visual Basic, Siemens Simatic are a plus
              • Ability to utilize Microsoft office and other production maintenance monitoring and control systems & technology
              • Familiarity with CMMS systems (Megamation and/or SAP preferred)
              • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
              • Ability to communicate verbally and in written format, summarizing ideas, making recommendations, and setting out processes and procedures
              • Results orientation and ability to manage outputs through Key Performance Indicators
              • Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing
              • Solid data driven problem solving and action planning skills
              • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives
              • Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent
              • PLC programming experience preferred
              • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
