Job Description:
Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the Rapid Prototyping group. The Electrical Engineer will focus on delivering new advanced technology capabilities in timelines typically under a year. The Electrical Engineer will work on projects in a team environment consisting of various subject matter experts and leverage resources from multiple groups to successfully execute fast-paced demonstration efforts.The Electrical Engineer will work on a variety of projects developing complex and innovative data, power, control interfaces, and solutions for several fielded sensor systems and payloads.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• 
  Design, develop, and tests electrical devices and equipment including communications systems, power generators, motors and navigation systems, and electrical systems for automobiles and aircraft.
  
  
• 
  Oversee the manufacturing of these device systems and equipment.
  
  
• 
  Design new ways to use electrical power to develop or improve products.
  
  
• 
  Perform detailed calculations to develop manufacturing construction and installation standards and specifications.
  
  
• 
  Direct manufacturing installing and testing of electrical equipment to ensure that products meet specifications and codes.
  
  
• 
  Investigate complaints from customers or the public and evaluate problems and recommend solutions.
  
  
• 
  Work with project managers on production efforts to ensure that projects are completed satisfactorily on time and within budget.
  
  
• 
  Design electronic components, software products, or systems for commercial industrial medical military or scientific applications.
  
  
• 
  Analyze customer needs and determine electrical system requirements capacity and cost to develop a system plan.
  
  
• 
  Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment.
  
  
• 
  Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or equipment repair.
  
  
• 
  Inspect electronic equipment instruments and systems to make sure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations.
  
  
• 
  Plan and develop applications and modifications for electronic properties used in parts and systems to improve technical performance.
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience working with small engineering and software teams.
    
    
  • 
    Experience with electronic designs for low power and battery-operated systems.
    
    
  • 
    Experience with analog circuits and sensors, digital circuits and sensors, and digital interfaces.
    
    
  • 
    Experience with embedded software development for microcontrollers.
    
    
  • 
    Experience with electro-optics, RF sensors, and communication protocols.
    
    
  • 
    Experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) schematic capture and layout tools, NVidia Jetson, GPU products, and FPGAs.
    
    
  • 
    Due to the nature of the work, an active Secret clearance is required, an Interim clearance is sufficient to start.
