Job Description:
You will be the UAS Technician for our SOF team in Lexington,
KY. Our team is responsible for delivering cutting?edge unmanned
aerial system solutions that support Special Operations Forces
missions. What You Will Be Doing As the UAS Technician, you will
perform assignments that are not completely standardized or
prescribed, select or adapt standard procedures or equipment, using
fully applicable precedents, receive initial instructions,
equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as
needed, and perform recurring work independently. Work is reviewed
for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions. You will
perform at this level one or a combination of such typical duties
as: Constructing components, subunits, or simple models or adapts
standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctions.
Following specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and
package simple devices and subunits of equipment. Conducting
various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications
in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in
measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test
equipment and records test data. Extracting and compiling a variety
of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc.,
processing data, identifying errors or inconsistencies, selecting
methods of data presentation. Assisting in design modification by
compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials
that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component
parts; developing information concerning previous operational
failures and modifications, and using judgment and initiative to
recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to

U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires
special access. An Interim Secret clearance is required prior to
start. Basic Qualifications - Training or experience in Aviation or
a Technical Field. - Must be willing to travel. - Proficient in
using Microsoft suite of office products. - Basic understanding of
software and firmware update tasks. - Experience following
technical instructions to perform tasks. - Be able to work in an
environment with minimal supervision and direction. - Strong
ability to perform web-based and Technical Manual-driven research.
Desired skills - UAS maintainer/operator experience. - Experience
using maintenance manuals. - Aviation experience. - FOD Control
process experience. - Aircraft Logbook experience. - Remote pilot

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a
government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for
