Summary
Analyzes and answers requests by mail, telephone, or in person from
policyholders or internal production and marketing personnel for
information concerning insurance policies by performing the
following duties.

Client/Policy Services
Provides daily service to and builds relationships with clients by
managing phone calls and emails in a timely manner and attending
meetings.
Responsibilities include:
Documenting all correspondence, follow up for necessary information
updates at appropriate times, and keep the client files organized
and up to date.
Maintaining compliance with all Commercial Lines service standards
and procedures.
Maintaining agency management database with current information and
ordering corrections when necessary.
Submit endorsement/change request as requested by Account
Manager/Producer.
Review change request/endorsements for accuracy and process in
accordance with service standards and procedures.
Completing cancellation endorsements for accuracy and
relevancy.
Check and process policy audits.
Issuing binder, invoices, as reflected by the policy/quote terms
and conditions.
Obtain updated renewal underwriting information from clients.
Prepare accurate new/renewal certificates of insurance, auto ID
cards, evidence of property in accordance with service standards
and procedures.
Prepare renewal files for renewal process and/or marketing
including but not limited to updating proof of insurance, order
loss runs, and summary of insurance.
Check policies for accuracy and advise Account Manager and/or
producer of discrepancies and create change request as needed.
Set up and prepare new/renewal proposals for Account Manager.
Mentoring others within the department regarding client/policy
service standards and procedures.
Maintaining Producer and Manager confidence in job knowledge,
judgment calls, and awareness of current industry trends and
developments.

Teamwork
Works together with team and with other departments, such as
Marketing, Accounting, Claims, Producers, etc., including
conferencing with Producer or Account Executive to discuss the
execution of strategies. Assists in training of new service team
members. Volunteers to back up and/or assist others Assistants or
Account Managers as needed. Any special project as assigned by
Manager. Manages PTO to work with departmental needs.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two or
three years related insurance experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules,
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine
reports and correspondence. Ability to speak comfortably and
effectively to groups of customers.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,
interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed
but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to bring full
resolution to issues with Producer/Department Manager/Account
Manager involvement.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have
knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet
software and Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be able to obtain insurance licenses and designations as set
forth by the organization's education plans.
