Job SummaryPURPOSE/SUMMARY:Sourcing at Galls oversees the development and bulk production of product from initial design through final delivery. This includes new product additions and assortment refreshes to stock assortment and custom uniforms for large scale customers. The team helps source high quality raw materials, communicates with vendors and suppliers daily, and manages execution and follow-up for Galls Private Label Brands (Galls, LawPro+ Dyna Med). Sourcing also ensures timely delivery of quality, profitable goods. The Sourcing team works closely with many cross functional teams to manage product strategy and achieve business goals. These teams include: Sales, Planning/Inventory Management, National Brand Merchants, Marketing, Store Branches DC Operations.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Develops and maintains vendor relationships to ensure key partnerships and future growth. Objectively evaluates vendor performance. Seeks and onboards new talent to support the needs of the business.Provides direct communication and support to vendors daily; comes to the table with resolutions to challenges and collaborates on new strategy initiatives.Negotiates costs and engineers/strategizes how to reduce/maintain costs if outside factors are placing pressure to increase.Monitors and maintains relationship with 3rd party and factories for full quality and compliance audits. Addresses any remediation and ensure resolution in timely manner.Works closely with sourcing direct reports and cross functional planner/IM to monitor development schedules (WIP), forecast needs and deliveries. Oversees accurate input into trackers and GQ system. Works in partnership with direct reports to ensure timely follow up and proper evaluation on all submits, samples and testing.Mentors direct reports to grow and strengthen their understanding of the product development cycle, sourcing strategies and how connects with our business goals and needs.Collaborates with sales, branches and marketing, listens to VOC/focus groups, to identify new product opportunities, assortment revisions or custom programs for large scale customers/bids. Supports new marketing initiatives and tools to help aid sales in successful adoption of new products.Defines brand and assortment strategy for Private Label brands assortments. Digs into business to identify areas of opportunity/strength and reduces footprint in less successful areas. Aids in exit strategy for canceled SKUs/styles with cross functional teams and assists in maintaining appropriate inventory levels.Continues to evaluate and identify areas of progress to grow Private Label business.
