Job Description:
Position Overview:
The Executive Director (ED) will be responsible for leading
Moveable Feast Lexington, Inc. in fulfilling its mission and
strategic goals. This individual has oversight of all
organizational functions, including program management,
fundraising, staff leadership, community outreach, and financial
stewardship. The ED must also work closely with the Board of
Directors to develop and implement organizational policies, ensure
compliance with relevant laws, and maintain positive relationships
with stakeholders.Leadership & Strategy: Lead and inspire a team of
dedicated staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of compassion,
collaboration, and service excellence. Develop and execute the
organization's strategic vision in partnership with the Board of
Directors, ensuring that goals align with the needs of the
population served. Ensure that the organization's programs and
services meet the highest standards of quality and are responsive
to the needs of individuals with HIV/AIDS, those in hospice care,
and their families. Maintain a visible presence in the community to
advocate for the mission and engage with stakeholders, including
clients, donors, volunteers, and healthcare partners.Program
Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of
meal delivery programs and related services to ensure they meet the
nutritional and emotional needs of clients. Ensure the delivery of
meals is timely, consistent, and meets dietary guidelines relevant
to clients' health conditions. Develop and maintain partnerships
with healthcare providers, case managers, social workers, and other
community organizations to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Continuously assess client feedback and program outcomes to
identify opportunities for program improvements.Fundraising &
Financial Management: Drive the organization's fundraising
strategy, including cultivating relationships with donors,
foundations, and corporate partners. Lead grant writing efforts and
oversee the submission of funding proposals to ensure the
organization's financial sustainability. Manage the organization's
budget, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and in
alignment with the organization's mission and goals. Provide
regular financial reports to the Board of Directors and maintain
transparent financial practices. Submit timely and detailed expense
reports for approval of the CFO or BODStaff & Volunteer Management:
Hire, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive and
productive work environment that aligns with organizational values.
Develop professional development opportunities for staff and
volunteers to enhance their skills and capabilities. Ensure
compliance with applicable labor laws, organizational policies, and
best practices for nonprofit management. Build and sustain a strong
volunteer program to support meal preparation, delivery, and client
services.Community Outreach & Advocacy: Develop and implement
strategies to raise awareness about the organization's mission,
services, and impact within the local community and beyond.
Advocate for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and those in hospice
care, ensuring their voices are heard in relevant policy
discussions and initiatives. Build and maintain strong
relationships with other nonprofit organizations, healthcare
providers, and community leaders to enhance service delivery and
expand the organization's network of support.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent
related experience) Experience: Minimum of 5 years in nonprofit
leadership, with experience in healthcare, social services, or
working with vulnerable populations, including individuals with
HIV/AIDS and those in hospice care. Experience in fundraising,
grant writing, and financial management is required. Skills:o
Strong leadership and team management skills.o Proven ability to
build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.o
Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal
skills.o Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively
under pressure.o Knowledge of nonprofit financial management,
including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.o Working knowledge
of Quick Books, Word and Excelo Grant writing experience.o A deep
understanding of the challenges faced by individuals living with
HIV/AIDS and those in hospice care.Personal Attributes:

schedule; occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Occasional travel to community events, donor meetings, and service
delivery areas. Primarily office-based, with some time spent in the
field overseeing meal deliveries and program services. Must deliver
meals when short on volunteers. Must have a valid drivers license,
reliable transportation, and maintain at least the state minimum
auto insurance. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
