Description:Primary duties of the position include: ? Responsible
for Logistics Systems management and operation in support of the
Lockheed Martin SOF GLSS contract. The Contract's Logistics
Operations includes managing a 5M items inventory valued at over
$3B for 40 DoD Programs and 42K pieces of contract property.
Operation includes Receiving, Warehousing, Shipping &
Transportation and Disposal in a dynamic and fast paced environment
supporting DoD's premiere warfighters. ? Responsible for designing
and implementing logistics inventory management systems and
solutions and controlling these systems after implementation.
Responsible for continuously improving processes and procedures
that are IAW DoD policy or industry best practices.
? Responsible for designing and implementing overarching control
mechanisms for the key logistics functions of warehousing; property
control and accountability; requisition processing; transportation;
and total asset visibility to ensure logistics operations are being
executed to established standards and metrics across the enterprise
using the GOLDesp inventory / property management system, the
Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), Government Furnished
Property (GFP) Module and other DoD material management systems. ?
Responsible for collecting and analyze supply data / metrics to
correct negative trends, ensure effective use of warehouse space
and the enforcement of Material Storage and Distribution (MS&D)
operations standards. ? Responsible for managing the inventory
control system database and keeping it current and operational,
running data reports as requested, establishing customer and user
profiles, ensuring application security settings, and ensuring
transactions are auditable and accountable. ? Ensure inventory /
property management system remains in accordance with Federal
Acquisition Regulation (FAR) property requirements. Manage a
Property Management Team to ensure an auditable record of all
transactions that affect balances and/or changes to the property
under this contract to include receipt, tagging and sub
hand-receipt processing, custodian for all Government Furnished
Property, and annual reconciliation of hand-receipted property.
Maintain accountability of all property that includes on-hand, due
in, in-repair, and in-transit property. ? Initiate and maintain the
processes, systems, procedures, records, and methodologies
necessary for effective and efficient control of Government
Furnished Property used to support the overall contract ? Conduct
inventory procedures IAW DoD policy, which includes validation of
account balances and provide Inventory Accuracy Reports of all
property including scheduling annual inventory plans, conducting
initial counts and recounts as needed, conducting causative
research, and adjusting inventory records to ensure database and
floor counts match. ? Use automated identification technology
devices to streamline logistics operations and improve
accountability ? Providing direct leadership of a 15-person
logistics team that includes inventory control system and data base
management, property control, and property verification.
? Provide guidance to subordinates based on Lockheed Martin Missile
& Fire Control (MFC) policies and program guidance.
? Embrace and emulate Full Spectrum Leadership (FSL) tenets during
the performance of daily duties with the customer, senior
leadership, peers and subordinates.
? Plan and procure the resources needed to meet contract
obligations and improve the efficiency of the organization. ?
Effectively communicate the Logistics team's performance to
leadership and the customer. Effectively communicate the vision and
expectations to team members while also empowering the team and
holding them accountable for their performance.
? Provide planning, organization, control and integration across
program/project activities. ? Ensure horizontal integration with
the SOF GLSS programs and customer stakeholders.
? Broad experience with logistics management, logistics management
systems, analysis and inventory management / control. ?
Demonstrated experience leading people and teams in a dynamic and
challenging environment. ? Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership
characteristics. ? Excellent verbal and written communication
skills and the demonstrated ability to communicate to all levels of
management and customer organization. ? Skills in developing trust
with internal partners. ? Strong interpersonal, communication and
networking ability able to generate innovative solutions through
process improvement and change management events.
Previous experience at a senior level managing DoD Logistics
Systems and Operations or equivalent logistics management
experience in the commercial sector.
? Experience and understanding of DoD Logistics systems / processes
and FAR compliance and property accountability. Experience with
executing inventories and inventory control.
? Previous work experience designing and implementing Logistics
Automation systems and technologies to improve logistic
efficiencies, effectiveness, inventory control, provisioning,
forecasting, and metric generation. ? Government On Line Data (GOLD
or GOLDesp) Inventory Management System experience, DPAS Inventory
Management System experience, Jobscope experience desired but not
? Relevant experience with potential future systems - GFP Module
and SAP - desired but not required.
? Lean / Six Sigma certification or experience desired but not
