Job Description We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. Dental Hygienist duties revolve around conducting initial patient appointments, completing patient hygiene, and advising patients on oral health and preventative care. You'll help dentists decide treatments for teeth or gum diseases and handle dental emergencies. As a Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. If you are capable and willing to learn, we'd like to meet you.
As a biologic dental office, we specialize in prevention of disease as well as helping patients get to the root of current disease. We strive for healing the body and supporting patients on their journey to health in more natural and holistic ways. The office is very conscious of ingredients in dental products we use and recommend daily. Educating patients is a large responsibility for the dental hygienist, so it will be expected in this position.
Hygienists at the office will be expected to get certified in laser therapy and be able to use ozone in treatment practices. Training will be provided for this. The office is always willing to learn and incorporate new, more natural treatments for patients, so input from hygienists and other team members is welcome. We are very education focused.
The team will go to at least one major dental conference per year for a weekend of learning and growing. This is paid for by the office. We also offer monthly team building trips/activities to grow as a team.
