Overview
As a Critical Care Nurse at CHI Saint Joseph Health, now part of
CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives
(CHI) and Dignity Health, you'll monitor patients who are
critically ill and unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or
life-threatening disease. - -Each shift begins with a patient
report from a nursing teammate before making your rounds. You'll
continue to provide whatever care or procedures are required
throughout the shift. This could mean assisting a physician with a
chest tube or central line, providing wound care, transporting the
patient for an MRI or CT, or administering medications. - -To
thrive in this role, you'll heavily depend on your ability to
multitask and react. You'll clinically care for your patients,
remain focused and attentive, and advocate for their best
interests. It is your sound judgment during an emergency and rapid
response that puts you on the radar for advancement. - - -About Us:

Responsibilities
Assesses, plans, and implements nursing care while ensuring patient
comfortAnticipates, identifies, and responds to informational and
emotional needs of patients and familiesGuides and directs
healthcare personnel (i.e., Patient Care Technicians) in caring for
patientsMaintains knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and
use (i.e., IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and drainage devices)
Utilizes safeguards such as IV pump drug library and monitor alarms
with necessaryInitiates emergency support measures (i.e.,
cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient from
injury)Assists with patient care duties/tasks (i.e., emptying
drainage devices, ambulating, and hygiene) -We are offering a
$10,0000 sign-on bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who
meet the eligibility requirements.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required Active RN
license in good standing with the Kentucky Board of NursingBasic
Life Support (BLS) Previous Critical Care Experience Preferred
