Required Related Experience 6 yrs
Required License/Registration/Certification Licensed Nurse. Safety
or Quality certification obtained within 1 year of hire.
Physical Requirements This position may require sitting, standing
and/or walking for extended periods of time; lifting of up to 25
lbs may be required.
Shift Primarily day shift Monday through Friday with occasional
evenings and weekends per business needs.
Job Summary Clinical Facilitators work as part of the Care Redesign
Program. They are expected to skillfully work with groups of
physicians and other health care professionals to understand and
eliminate unnecessary variation in clinical practice, utilizing
clinical best practices and consistency to improve quality of
patient care. All facilitative and evaluative tasks must be
undertaken objectively and dispassionately, while ensuring evidence
is the primary guiding influence and that current policies,
procedures and standards are respected. As members of the Care
Redesign Program team, they remain consistent with a team
throughout the lifecycle of initiatives (design through
implementation). They lead new teams as the program continues in
future cycles. Assumes direct responsibility for all deliverables
and weekly monitoring (both qualitative and quantitative) of
initiative core teams. Functions independently and provides key
updates/information to initiative leaders and teams through both
informal and formal communication channels. Assist teams with
project work that includes any or all of the following: evidence
review, data collection, engagement of all providers, meeting
coordination and facilitation, verbal and written communications
regarding team progress. Provide the teams they lead, and as
needed, other teams operating within the Program, specific
expertise of a nurse, including guidance on nursing care, nursing
practice, and nursing workflows. The University of Kentucky

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities 5+ years of experience in
healthcare, excellent communication skills, and physician
engagement experience.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience Masters in related field;
process-improvement experience.
