Our goal is to ensure all services consistently exceed quality measures and the expectations of patients and referring physicians.\n\n*Responsibilities*\nThe Director, Clinical Services (DCS) is responsible for the leadership and direction of clinical services provided by the branch. The DCS oversees the coordination, continuity, and quality of clinical care as well as the management of client services. The DCS participates in the recruitment, training, and development of staff, and provides the supervision necessary to facilitate the provision of quality care. The DCS monitors, evaluates, and takes action on clinical measures of performance.\nResponsibilities:\n\n* Oversees clinical operations and assures compliance and competency to home care/hospice policy, accrediting body's standards and Federal, State, and County rules and regulations.\n* Provides direction and support to staff to deliver quality services with a focus on organizational success.\n* Responsible for directing the accurate, complete and timely provision of quality client care and services in compliance with regulatory, operational and financial requirements. \n* Assures the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of clinical records in compliance with regulatory, operational and financial requirements. \n* Responsible for ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) regulations and standards. \n* Responsible for monitoring and evaluating clinical measures of performance including, but not limited to productivity standards, documentation completion standards, and management of patient care. Develops and follows through with action plans based upon measurement results.\n* Provides employee education leadership; with implementation assistance from the Manager, Clinical Services: New hire orientation, in-services, team meetings, case management meetings, and clinical education. \n* Acts as back up to Director, Operations. \nManaging Direct Reports:\n\n* Responsible for the recruitment and retention, orientation, ongoing training, direction, supervision and evaluation of all clinical staff and support for back office staff as location(s) needs require. Assures staff competency and ensures staff are performing at organizational productivity benchmarks\n* Creates an "expectation of excellence" and manages performance of direct reports to maximize the value of employee' contributions towards organizational success. Establishes strategically aligned goals with employee. Encourages and creates opportunities for continuous improvement of associate by providing frequent coaching, mentoring and accurate performance feedback.\n* Provides direction and support to employees to deliver quality services with a focus on organizational success. \n* Supports and promotes department, branch, and organization decisions.\nQuality:\n\n* Responsible for the location's quality improvement and clinical excellence program.\n* Assures effective and efficient use of all chronic care management programs in the location(s).\n* Assures appropriate service utilization and appropriate OASIS scoring.Validate frequency of visits based on assessment scoring; Work aggressively with field staff to ensure that they perform visits appropriately; and ensures appropriate preceptor(s) for field staff when needed.\n* Reviews all occurrence and complaint reports and related follow up needed.\n* Ensures Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) program coordination; including collection and analysis of data measures identified by leadership and the governing body, agency QAPI Committee oversight, implementation of performance improvement activities, QAPI education to inform associates of improvement activities, ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of improvement activities, documentation of QAPI activities and communication with agency and regional leadership on the program results, activities and effectiveness.\n* All other duties as assigned.\n\n*Qualifications*\n\n* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing to practice in the state(s) serviced is required. \n* Five years of management experience required. Home care management experience is preferred. \n* Three years home care and hospice clinical experience is required. \n* Two years of appropriate hospital clinical experience is preferred\n* Must obtain and maintain CPR certification \n* Certified in ICD-9 coding and OASIS, or willing to obtain both certifications within the first two years of employment. \n\n*Pay Range*\n$37.59 - $54.51 /hour
