*Overview*\nAs a Critical Care Nurse at CHI Saint Joseph Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you'll monitor patients who are critically ill and unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or life-threatening disease. \n \nEach shift begins with a patient report from a nursing teammate before making your rounds. You'll continue to provide whatever care or procedures are required throughout the shift. This could mean assisting a physician with a chest tube or central line, providing wound care, transporting the patient for an MRI or CT, or administering medications. \n \nTo thrive in this role, you'll heavily depend on your ability to multitask and react. You'll clinically care for your patients, remain focused and attentive, and advocate for their best interests. It is your sound judgment during an emergency and rapid response that puts you on the radar for advancement. \n \n*About Us: *\nSaint Joseph Hospital is a 433-bed facility located in Lexington Kentucky. With our combined resources CommonSpirit is committed to building healthy communities advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable and innovating how and where healing can happen both inside our hospitals and out in the community.\n\n*Responsibilities*\n\n* Assesses, plans, and implements nursing care while ensuring patient comfort\n* Anticipates, identifies, and responds to informational and emotional needs of patients and families\n* Guides and directs healthcare personnel (i.e., Patient Care Technicians) in caring for patients\n* Maintains knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use (i.e., IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and drainage devices) Utilizes safeguards such as IV pump drug library and monitor alarms with necessary\n* Initiates emergency support measures (i.e., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient from injury)\n* Assists with patient care duties/tasks (i.e., emptying drainage devices, ambulating, and hygiene)\n \nWe are offering a $10,0000 sign-on bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.\n\n*Qualifications*\n\n* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required \n* Active RN license in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Nursing\n* Basic Life Support (BLS) \n* Previous Critical Care Experience Preferred \n \nWhile you're busy impacting the healthcare industry, we'll take care of you with benefits that include health/dental/vision, FSA, matching retirement plans, paid vacation, adoption assistance, more! \n\n*Pay Range*\n$26.44 - $38.34 /hour
