*Overview*\nAs a Critical Care Nurse at CHI Saint Joseph Health,
now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health
Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you'll monitor patients who
are critically ill and unstable following extensive injury,
surgery, or life-threatening disease. \n \nEach shift begins with a
patient report from a nursing teammate before making your rounds.
You'll continue to provide whatever care or procedures are required
throughout the shift. This could mean assisting a physician with a
chest tube or central line, providing wound care, transporting the
patient for an MRI or CT, or administering medications. \n \nTo
thrive in this role, you'll heavily depend on your ability to
multitask and react. You'll clinically care for your patients,
remain focused and attentive, and advocate for their best
interests. It is your sound judgment during an emergency and rapid
response that puts you on the radar for advancement. \n \n*About

Lexington Kentucky. Founded in 1877 a small group of Sisters of
Charity of Nazareth in Kentucky led by Sister Euphrasia Stafford

carried out today. Saint Joseph Hospital primarily serves central
and eastern Kentucky with a full range of services including
distinguished awards for cardiology orthopedics and stroke care.

community.\n\n*Responsibilities*\n\n* Assesses, plans, and
implements nursing care while ensuring patient comfort\n*
Anticipates, identifies, and responds to informational and
emotional needs of patients and families\n* Guides and directs
healthcare personnel (i.e., Patient Care Technicians) in caring for
patients\n* Maintains knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance,
and use (i.e., IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and drainage
devices) Utilizes safeguards such as IV pump drug library and
monitor alarms with necessary\n* Initiates emergency support
measures (i.e., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient
from injury)\n* Assists with patient care duties/tasks (i.e.,
emptying drainage devices, ambulating, and hygiene)\n \nWe are
offering a $10,0000 sign-on bonus in addition to relocation to new
hires who meet the eligibility
requirements.\n\n*Qualifications*\n\n* Graduate of an accredited
school of nursing required \n* Active RN license in good standing
with the Kentucky Board of Nursing\n* Basic Life Support (BLS) \n*
Previous Critical Care Experience Preferred \n \nWhile you're busy
