Job Description:
CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group at Saint Joseph Hospital in
Lexington, Kentucky is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join an
established group of surgeons in growing their comprehensive
cardiac surgery program.

Adult Cardiac Surgery
Aortic Aneurysm Surgery
Aortic Valve Surgery
Coronary Bypass Surgery
Minimally invasive Heart Surgery
Mitral Valve Repair and Replacement surgery
Open heart surgery
Valve repair and replacement surgery
Major aortic surgery
Coronary bypass
Beating heart cardiac operations
Arrhythmia surgery (the MAZE operation)
Cardiac assist devices
Ventricular restorative procedures
Heart transplantation
Education and Experience
Board Certified - or eligible.
Minimum 5 years out of training
Experience in program development
License/Certification:
Essential Duties:
Understand, support, and implement the mission of the facility to
deliver health care to those in need in the performance of all job
responsibilities.
Ensure that patient care meets or exceeds the facility quality
standards.
Ensure that patient satisfaction meets or exceeds standards set by
the facility.
Educate patients on both clinical and managed care.
Participate in clinic and network task forces as requested and
appropriate.
Function as an effective clinic team member.
Meet productivity standards.
Effectively use clinic financial and other performance
information.
