Overview:
The Phlebotomist will be working in the PCC lab. They will see
patients from all departments as well as referrals from other
hospitals (50-60 PPD once the lab gets going).
The Phlebotomist will be responsible for verifying patient
identification and explaining the sampling procedure to patients,
obtaining blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger
sticks, maintaining specimen integrity by using aseptic technique,
following department procedures, and observing isolation
procedures.
Requirements:
In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed
for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four
weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to
enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your
assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
