Job Description:
A company is looking for an Inpatient Medical Coding Auditor to
extract clinical information from medical records and assign
appropriate medical codes.
Key Responsibilities
Review inpatient hospital claims for proper reimbursement and
handle provider disputes
Ensure accurate provider contract payments and appropriate
diagnosis-related group (DRG) assignments
Analyze and manipulate databases while responding to internal
requests for medical information
Required Qualifications
RHIA, RHIT, or CCS Certification with at least 4 years of
experience
MS-DRG coding/auditing experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in inpatient coding reviews/audits
in health insurance or hospital settings
Experience reading and interpreting claims for at least 1 year
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, including Word,
PowerPoint, and Excel
