Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Lexington, Kentucky, 40536! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU
Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience:
Minimum of 1 year ICU experience required. IR PACU experience with
phase 1 recovery is required. License: Compact License or state
license required at time of submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS,
NIHSS, PALS (must be willing to obtain PALS prior to start).
Must-Have: Experience caring for pediatric patients is required.
3-4 late stays required per 6 weeks. Description: This is an IR
PACU position. Start times for shifts may vary (6 a.m., 7 a.m., or
8 a.m.) based on unit needs. Candidates must have IR PACU and phase
1 recovery experience. Candidates will pre-op patients and care for
them upon return. They must be able to monitor phase 1 recovery and
ICU patients. Candidates will float within the hospital or to
nearby affiliate hospitals. Late shifts will be required based on
unit needs. Experience from a dedicated pediatric PACU unit is not
necessary, but pediatric experience is mandatory. The candidate
will manage arterial lines and ventilated patients. They will
provide discharge instructions and medication reconciliation as
needed. Candidates should recognize and manage dysrhythmias. They
will also care for patients recovering from spinal surgeries and
stroke evaluations. Compliance with BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and EKG
requirements is necessary. Candidates must be aware that
specialty-related modules may be billable and completed during
orientation and annually. Candidates should have a good
understanding of PACU competencies and general ICU skills. 5
