IV/phlebotomy skills - Comfortable taking 5 patients Description:
This position requires a registered nurse with experience in a
progressive care unit or telemetry. Candidates must be comfortable
managing a patient load of five. Two years of RN experience in
PCU/telemetry is required. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
are mandatory. Candidates must possess strong skills in IV
insertion and phlebotomy. This role will require floating to other
units as needed. The patient population includes adolescents,
adults, and geriatrics. Common diagnoses include liver failure,
sepsis, acute respiratory failure, COPD, diabetes, and DKA. Daily
responsibilities will include interpretation and management of
dysrhythmias. Candidates will need to complete compliance
requirements including EKG onboarding exams and skills assessments.
