University of Kentucky HealthCare – Lexington, KY About the Opportunity: University of Kentucky HealthCare is actively recruiting full-time Hospitalists to join our dynamic academic team. We are seeking Internal Medicine-trained physicians who are looking to build a long-term career in hospital medicine with opportunities for clinical excellence, education, research, and leadership. Faculty positions are full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure track, with academic rank commensurate with experience. Position Highlights: 7-on/7-off schedule -Working 25 weeks of service per year Average daily census of 14 Closed ICU No call responsibilities except for 2 weeks per year under a “jeopardy system” (rare back-up coverage) Opportunities across diverse service lines: o General medicine o Oncology & malignant hematology o Perioperative medicine Pathways for growth in: o Medical education o Quality improvement o Research o Business and leadership Engaged academic environment with faculty involved in QI, education, and operational initiatives Required Qualifications: Education: MD or equivalent degree Experience: Completion of residency in Internal Medicine Licensure/Certification: Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
