Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Stepdown Job Details: • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required • Travel experience required • Must pass an advanced dysrhythmia test for competency assessment • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH preferred • Epic charting system experience required • Patient ratios: 4:1 on days and 4-5:1 on nights • Weekend and holiday coverage by rotation • 12 hours of orientation provided • Must have experience with surgical and cath lab populations • Experience required with chest tubes, epicardial wires, sheath/radial band management • Must be familiar with cardiac drips including Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, and others • Must be comfortable with radial band/femoral site management following cath lab procedures • Experience with pre/post cardiac surgery patients and TAVR procedures • May float to different units as needed • Works with adult and geriatric patient populations • Provides care for CVI unit (15 beds) and CVU unit (16 beds) • Manages patients with 24-48 hour stays and pre-op/post-op cardiac surgery patients Facility: This healthcare facility operates specialized cardiac units including a 15-bed CVI unit and a 16-bed CVU unit.
