Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), every other weekend Experience: Two years of acute care RN experience License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Two years of acute care RN experience - BLS certification - ACLS certification - NIHSS certification - Registered Nurse license Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. The RN promotes personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education supported by a governance framework. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Applying the caring processes of the model of care, the RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting staff.
