Registered Nurse license Description: A professional nurse is
accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered
Nurse focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care,
customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible
for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. The RN
promotes personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based
practice and education supported by a governance framework. The RN
supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Applying the
caring processes of the model of care, the RN is responsible for
assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of
care. The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and
satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional
experiences in the delivery of quality care and
mentoring/precepting staff. Job Responsibilities: - Performs
assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as
warranted by a patient's condition. - Demonstrates the ability to
make sound independent decisions. - Initiates, prioritizes, and
implements the plan of care and reviews and revises the plan as
indicated. - Collaborates with patients/families and
interdisciplinary services. - Utilizes resources appropriately to
support the needs of the organization, patients, and families. -
Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions. -
Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education
specific to patient/family needs. - Demonstrates and encourages
teamwork. - identifies and communicates opportunities for
