ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Lexington, Kentucky. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work in Neuro ICU with 2:1 patient ratios during days, nights, and weekends • Required to work 3-4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights) • 24-hour orientation provided • Float as needed per census - if pulled to another ICU, maintain 2:1 ratio; if pulled to telemetry unit, take only 3 patients • Strong neuro experience and previous travel experience required • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required • Required certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS • Epic charting system experience required • Care for adult patients in 19-bed unit with daily census of 19 • Manage ventilated patients, airway management, arterial line management • Experience with dysrhythmia management and interpretation • Central line management and IV drip titration • Continuous IV sedation and vasopressor titration • Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure • Experience with post-surgical patients including craniotomies, neurosurgeries, CEAs • Work with specialized equipment including EVDs, lumbar drains, CRRT, Arctic Sun, ventilators • Handle complex patient diagnoses including strokes, hemorrhages, seizures, sepsis, respiratory failure • Must be located more than 75 miles from facility to qualify as traveler • Kentucky nursing license or compact state license required at submission Facility: This healthcare organization operates a specialized 19-bed Neuro ICU that provides comprehensive critical care services for patients with complex neurological conditions.
