Job Description:

Reports to : HR Manager Primary Objective of Position: The Human Resources Specialist provides general support for all aspects of the HR needs of the company, under the direct supervision of the HR Manager. The Human Resources Specialist must be creative, intelligent, sociable, ethical, and stay up-to-date on employment laws and trends. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Human Resources Specialist must have the ability to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. All tasks and duties must be completed in accordance and compliance with HIPAA guidelines, State and Federal laws, and current company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Monitors time sheets for accuracy Conducts New Employee Orientation Ensures timely quarterly Smart Goal checks and performance review completion Maintains employee files Monitors employee attendance and leave requests Recruits, conducts phone screens, and interviews potential candidates. Assists with campus recruitment and intern program Assists with benefits administration Edit and maintain job descriptions Other duties as assigned Experience and Educations Requirements: Requires a Bachelor---s Degree in Human Resources or a related subject matter, or equivalent work experience 1 --- 3 years of Human Resources experience required; specifically, in recruiting working with an applicant tracking system preferred Up-to-date knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations Excellent Microsoft Office skills required (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Prior experience with ADP and EZ Labor Management software is a plus. Effective at handling multiple different tasks requiring various different skill levels; comfortable with frequently changing priorities. Other qualifications to be considered: Strong emotional maturity and intelligence. Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail. Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaboratively build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, external partners and others. High level of written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem solving with string decision making capability. Independently motivated. Highly versatile and resourceful team player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer service and response. Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. Forward looking thinker, actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, and/or feel. Stand for long periods of time, walk, and regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is required to communicate by speaking, the employee is required to listen to the needs of co-workers and/or customers and have the ability to write and communicate information to other co-workers. The employee is frequently required to climb on a small ladder, reach with hands and arms, frequently bending stooping and kneeling. Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Hours: 9:00am --- 5:30pm, Monday --- Friday Hours and schedule may vary depending on the needs of the business.
