Job Description:
Join the dedicated team at US Foods as a CDL A Delivery Truck
Driver, where you play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of
food services across the nation. US Foods is committed to quick and
safe delivery of high-quality products to approximately 300,000
customers. As a driver, you will handle the delivery and unloading
of food and supplies to our valued customers with the support of
cutting-edge logistics and distribution technology. This role
requires excellent driving skills, a dedication to safety, and a
strong work ethic. Safely drive and operate your delivery vehicle
at all times. Deliver and unload foodservice products to customers
using hand trucks or by hand carrying products. Perform pre-trip
and post-trip inspections daily. Receive and verify dispatch
instructions and review delivery schedules and routes. Maintain
communication with the dispatch team and report any issues or
deviations from the schedule. Adhere to company safety policies and
ensure protocols are followed. Process paperwork and documentation
related to deliveries. Provide excellent customer service during
interactions with customers at drop-off points. Ability to maneuver
heavy objects, some weighing up to 75 pounds. Strong interpersonal
and communication skills. Familiarity with using navigation tools
and truck management systems. Capability to handle receipts,
invoices, and basic documentation related to cargo delivery.
Knowledge of safe and efficient route planning. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A). DOT medical card. Clean
driving record is essential. Experience in operating refrigerated
trucks preferred but not required.
