GENERAL DESCRIPTION The purpose of this classification is to
operate and maintain two (2) or more pieces of heavy
equipment (knuckleboom and street sweeper) ; may supervise and
train work crews. This classification works under close
to general supervision according to set procedures, but determines
how or when to complete tasks.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school, GED, or specialized vocational
training; and, a minimum of two (2) years of experience operating
heavy equipment; or, an equivalent combination of education,
training, and experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Operates equipment
related to area of assignment - Sweeper truck and knucleboom
Inspects equipment for proper operating condition and makes
minor repairs, as needed.
Coordinates major repairs and preventative maintenance with

SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION Requires a Valid Kentucky

operate single vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 lbs or more OR a
gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 lbs. or more,
towing trailers/vehicles rated at 10,000 pounds GVWR or less. A
Class "B" license also allows you to operate Class C vehicles) with
