Job Description:

The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) is responsible for managing operations in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations and as directed by the Executive Director, to assure that the organization is operating effectively and efficiently. Oversees the day-to-day operations of a skilled nursing facility with stellar reputation and administration, clinical affairs and daily operations of facility. Relocation package available!ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPlan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the facility's programs and activities.Develop and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the facility.Oversee personnel, medical care, financial matters, equipment, facilities and other matters involved in operation of skilled nursing facility.Manages and monitors operations including nursing services, food service, personnel, activities, social services and building maintenance.Reviews facility policies and procedures on a regular basis and makes necessary changes to assure continued compliance with regulations.Oversees facility participation in surveys/inspections made by authorized government agencies.Reviews and develops a plan of correction for deficiencies noted during survey inspections and implements any actions needed for facility to become compliant with deficient practices.Assists the Quality Assurance Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified quality deficiencies.Assists in the recruitment and selection of department directors, consultants and other personnel.Assist department directors in the planning and conducting of in-service training and orientation programs to ensure compliance with regulations and facility procedures.Ensure that all facility personnel, residents, visitors, etc. follow established safety regulations, to include fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, disaster preparedness, etc.Ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained.Create and maintain a positive atmosphere and calm atmosphere throughout the facility.Prepare an annual operating budget for approval by the governing board and allocate the resources to carry out programs and activities of the facility.Ensure that resident's rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, are well established and maintained at all times.Review resident complaints and grievances and make written reports of action taken. Discuss with resident and family as appropriate.Develop and maintain adequate liaison with families, residents, visitors, volunteers and staff.Comply with facility HIPAA Security Policies & Procedures by using only protected health information (PHI) needed to perform designated job responsibilities which include accessing any information contained in patient records when required for the purpose of supervising staff or complying with licensing and other regulatory requirements.Other duties as assigned.SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTSMust be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, volunteers, government agencies and the general public.Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care administration.Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation.Must be able to maintain good personnel relations and employee morale.Must be able to read and interpret financial records, reports, etc.Must be knowledgeable of computer systems, system applications and other office equipment.EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree required, preferably in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or a health-related degree.Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in long term care / senior living facilityMust be a licensed nursing home administrator in Kentucky.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOBMust be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met.Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel and support agencies.Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.VISIT www.sayrechristianvillage.org/careers to apply TODAY!
