Here, you will make an impact by:Developing global risk management processes for Automotive and Aerospace MarketsCreate risk assessments for new and commercialized products with risk benefit analysesGuiding the quality department, leadership for business unit level operating committees, leadership in New Product Introduction (NPI) and commercialization as quality gatekeeper and quality champion for projectsSupporting and executing the long-term strategic direction for risk management, product safety & integrity, quality, and integrated into the overall strategic planDeveloping, creating, and supporting a high performing teamYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in a Science, Engineering or Mathematics discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionThree (3) years of experience in a private, public, government or military environment in one or more of the following areas: Quality, Laboratory, Regulatory, Product Engineering, or ManufacturingAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience in automotive and aerospace quality management systems (IATF 16949, AS9100, FAA)Experience in Risk Management standardsExperience leading within a quality, manufacturing, six sigma, or laboratory environmentExperience working with global manufacturing supply chainExperience with Quality Management SystemsExperience in automotive (AIAG) Core Tools such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)Location: Maplewood, MN and may consider remote U.S. work locationTravel: May include up to 20% domestic/internationalMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.U.S. Export Control laws and U.S. Government Department of Defense contracts and sub-contracts impose certain restrictions on companies and their ability to share export-controlled and other technology and services with certain "non-U.S. persons" (persons who are not U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., refugees, "Temporary Residents" (granted Amnesty or Special Agricultural Worker provisions), or persons granted asylum (but excluding persons in nonimmigrant status such as H-1B, L-1, F-1, etc.) or non-U.S. citizens.To comply with these laws, and in conjunction with the review of candidates for those positions within 3M that may present access to export controlled technical data, 3M must assess employees' U.S. person status, as well as citizenship(s).The questions asked in this application are intended to assess this and will be used for evaluation purposes only.
