The Kentucky Department of Education is a premier service agency
of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The department provides resources
and guidance to Kentucky's public schools and districts as they
implement the state's K-12 education requirements. The department
also serves as the state liaison for federal education requirements

The department seeks to hire a smart, experienced, hardworking
and dependable Education Administration Program Consultant II to
join our dedicated team. We seek persons of the highest moral

- Under general direction, provide support to Kentucky school
districts participating in any of the innovation networks
facilitated by the Division of Innovation. This position will
provide consulting services and technical assistance and ensure
full communication to the districts regarding the networks. In
addition, this position will serve as the division's primary point
of contact with other units in the Kentucky Department of Education
and will manage web and social media for the division.
- Coordinate communications efforts between the Division of
Innovation and the school districts in the Division of Innovation's
- Coordinate communication with division and other KDE units to
ensure full knowledge and understanding of the division's work is
seen throughout the agency.
- Assist local school districts in designing effective
communication plans for innovative strategies.
- Support other division staff in quality delivery of services to
school districts and the Kentucky Department of Education.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and an ability to
work both independently and in a highly collaborative
- Good problem solving, technical and analytical abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; A high
level of integrity and professional accountability

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a master's
degree in education.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of professional
experience in education, vocational education, or a related
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Current Rank II or Rank I
certification by the Department of Education or Education
Professional Standards Board will substitute for the required
educational requirement. Additional professional experience in the
field of education will substitute for the required educational
requirement on a year for year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):
Work is typically performed in an office or school setting.
Travel may be required.
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6
months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
