Project Control Specialist Description
pmXperts, Inc. currently has a Senior Project Controls Specialist opening located in Lexington, KY. This is a full-time salary position with great benefits. This position is an on-site assignment, with very little to no remote work. -We are searching for self-motivated, innovative people to join our team.

Experience using P6 and Cobra is a must.

Job Description
Under minimal general supervision, performs typical Project Controls job functions. Primarily the job entails developing and maintaining schedules in Primavera P6 and managing baselines in Deltek Cobra. The Project Controls Specialist will work closely with Control Account Managers to track and control project costs and schedules.

The specific work assignment may include duties or activities that assist and support project and functional management in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:
- - -Accumulate and compile accurate cost and schedule data to prepare project budgets and schedules and update project cost and schedule forecasts
- - -Develop and maintain control account and work package level schedules
- - -Develops control account execution plans, Work Breakdown Structure dictionary definitions, and earned value methods and techniques
- - -Participate in project reviews and schedule meetings with company or client management members
- - -Develop and implement change control and cost control management systems
- - -Identify trends and deviations to cost and schedule performance, identify cost and schedule impacts and recommend corrective actions
- - -Supports Control Account Manager analysis of earned value data and explanation of variances
- - -Maintain established project cost and schedule programs and prepare schedule and cost status reports
- - -Serves as the Control Team Leader; Directly supervises small teams of Project Controls personnel
- - -Develop or support the development of proposals, baselines, estimates-to-complete, change orders, and requests-for-equitable adjustments, estimates, and schedules
- - -Develop or support the development of the analysis of variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan and communicates the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to project management
- - -Maintain Contract Budget Logs
- - -Provide status of Management Reserves
- - -Coordinate the review of Project Risk with management and provide status reporting
- - -Incorporate risk appropriately into cost and schedule reporting
- - -Has knowledge of estimating techniques
- - -Has the ability to interpret computerized cost data
- - -Travel may be required to other project-related locations

Desired Qualifications
The desired qualifications for the successful candidate will be, at a minimum, the following:
- - -Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in a related field and 8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required
- - -Typical experience ranges from 5 to 15 years
- - -Demonstrated expertise in the concepts of project controls, cost engineering, scheduling, earned value management, and estimating
- - -Demonstrated experience using and understanding Earned Value Management Systems, Practices and Procedures
- - -Experience using Primavera P6 and Deltek Cobra is required. -Must be familiar with various cost estimating software (Timberline, Hard Dollar, etc.)
- - -Strong personal computer skills to include Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
- - -Must be able to possess a government clearance
- - -Must be a US Citizen
