SummaryThe Department of Physician Assistant Studies (PAS) in the
University of Kentucky's College of Health Sciences (CHS) is
seeking a full-time 12-month lecturer (non-tenure eligible) faculty
member at rank and salary determined by qualifications and
experience, to begin employment at either the Lexington or Morehead
campus on July 1, 2022.Our well-established and nationally
respected program offers an entry-level Master of Science degree in
Physician Assistant Studies and enrolls 56 students annually on two
campuses in Morehead and Lexington, KY. The program is accredited
by the ARC-PA.Ideal applicants for the position will bring a desire
to teach and mentor the next generation of Physician Assistants.
Responsibilities include teaching in the didactic and clinical
components of the PAS Master's degree program, participation in
program committees, and service activities. The position may
include opportunities for clinical practice and scholarly
activities. The anticipated effort for this position is Instruction
80-85%, Research/Scholarship 0-5%, Service 6-18%, Professional
Development 1-2% and will be considered based on an annual
agreement.Required Qualifications: - Graduation from an ARC-PA
approved Physician Assistant Studies program with a Master's degree
in physician assistant studies or terminal degree as a MD/DO - If a
PA, current national certification as a Physician Assistant and
eligibility to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky -
Demonstrated multicultural understanding and experience interacting
