Physical Requirements The essential job functions of this position require: communicating effectively by verbal and written communication; building positive working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds; abiding by University, guidelines; maintaining confidentiality; prioritizing and managing work effectively; ensuring work is detailed, accurate, and completed in a timely manner; performing work in a sedentary position; organizing and reporting to meetings at different venues both virtually and in-person; interacting with individuals from various levels throughout the university; and working successfully with a team, as well as independently.

Shift Primarily days, with core hours from 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Weekend and evening hours may be required as workload demands.

Job Summary This position is in direct support of the research mission of the NIH HEALing Communities and other Research Priority Area initiatives at the University of Kentucky. This Staff Officer position will report to the SUPRA RPA Director and support the SUPRA Executive Committee as well as to the HEALing Communities Study Executive Director. The primary responsibilities include: administration of SUPRA , coordination of the Substance Use Research Event, coordination of SUPRA faculty membership, coordinate internal grant competitions, update website, communicate effectively, and prioritize properly.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Candidates must have a strong organizational and event planning skill set, grant/budget management and reporting, excellent communication (oral & written), high attention to detail, and the ability to reliably manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Education/Experience Experience in grant management, budgeting, planning, and compliance.
