Practitioner Job Summary The University of Kentucky, College of
Nursing Graduate Program is seeking a Special Title Series
(tenure-eligible) Assistant/Associate/Professor (open-rank). This
position is a 12-month appointment with an anticipated Distribution
of Effort of about 35% Teaching and Advising, 40% Clinical Practice
Activities, 15% Research and Scholarly Activity, and 10%
Service/Professional Development which will be reviewed annually.
We anticipate a start date of January 1, 2023. This position, based
in Lexington, KY, and will assist in MSN/DNP program instruction
needed to expand and resource the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse
Practitioner (PMHNP) specialty program in the College of Nursing.
This position requires an individual to provide teaching, advising,
and mentoring related to the delivery of care to psychiatric mental
health populations in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings,
contributions to scholarly practice, and in advancing nursing
professionalism as an advanced practice nurse. Position
responsibilities include designing, implementing, and evaluating
didactic and clinical courses in the College's Graduate Nursing
programs, planning and evaluating student clinical experiences, and
advise students in the DNP program. Candidate will guide DNP
student projects and serve on advisory boards and committees
designed to develop and establish priorities for nursing services.
This position requires the candidate to provide clinical services
as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and participate
as an active inter professional team member. Collaboration with UK
Healthcare providers, administrators and staff is required.
Candidate is expected to participate in the assessment, planning
and implementation and evaluation of applicable programs, projects,
scholarship and research anticipating the submission of manuscripts
for publication and presentations of scholarly activities in
peer-reviewed venues. Participation as an investigator oras a
co-investigator on evidence-based practice or research projects and
grant proposals. The required education and experience include an
earned PhD or DNP degree with a specializationKBN certification as
a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Practice and
academic experience and dual certification as a Family Nurse
