ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerforms continual surveillance of multiple monitors.Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor.JOB REQUIREMENTSMinimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent: RequiredRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
