Come develop your aviation management career with us and be part of this exciting process.Position Summary: Blue Grass Airport is conducting a search for an Operations Specialist I. This is an entry-level position that manages the use of airport facilities in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position assures safety and security compliance with Federal Aviation Regulation.Duties:

• Assure compliance with FAR Parts 77 and 139, TSR 1542
• Constant monitoring of all facilities, personnel, and operations
• Routine and non-routine inspections of the airfield for unsafe or non-compliant conditions
• Serves critical functions of the airport's Integrated Operations and Coordination Center (IOCC)
• Actively monitors security access control and CCTV systems
• Issues airport ID media and facilitates ID applicant background searches
• Coordinates and monitors airport construction activities
• Provides an elevated level of customer service in responding to questions and inquiries from the public, airport stakeholders, and/or governmental regulatory agencies.Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Airport Management, Aviation Science, or a closely related field, combined with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in airport operations or administration preferred, or a high school diploma and equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant airport experience.
  • Candidate must be able to interact effectively with the public and all airport stakeholders.
  • Prior experience with fixed base operators (FBO), airlines, air cargo, airfield maintenance, and/or airport emergency services is highly desirable.Please review the attached job description for a more detailed and complete listing of the position, its duties, and its requirements. Position subject to periodic schedule rotation across various AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts, and availability for emergency recall.
