**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Production Team Leader supports a production line or material prep and reports directly to the Production Supervisor. This position enhances organizational efficiency in the Production Department by actively supporting the production supervisor as an area expert across multiple area with a focus on problem solving, compliance, and daily operational needs including line coverage. This position coordinates cross functionally with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, etc to ensure proper problem solving and involvement from necessary parties. Resume containing work history must be submitted with application to be considered for role. **Position Primary Responsibilities:** _Within 45 Working Days:_ * Provide administrative, coordination and communication on the shift (i.e. Crewing, Training, Shift Notes)* Responsible for the day to day operations of the line (efficiency of the shift, material and labor usage variances for the shift)* Ensure the execution and compliance of GMP standards on their line or area* Planning, coordination and compliance of sanitation activities on their line or area* Ensure the completion of Problem Solving, action tracking and coaching to ensure root cause * Perform daily SAM reconciliation for their area before the end of their shift * Coordinate staffing on a shiftily basis including determining overtime needs and communicating with other shifts* Assist Production Supervisors with coordinating daily operational review meetings and attend LC Meetings whenever possible depending on line needs of the shift. * Coach SHO, ensuring process is followed including escalation to DOR and back* Assist Production Department with work orders/notifications/tags* Assist Production Supervisors with safety-related functions involving accident protocols/investigations * Help Production Supervisors with training and development including management and completion of TPM tasks.* Update and Communicate Daily Schedule* Support continuous improvement activities like GSTD, DMAICs, and SMEDs as assigned or requested* Perform other duties as assigned _Within 90 Working Days_ * Acting Production Supervisor when supervisor out on PTO/sick day (excluding corrective action and Kronos duties) * Support Production Department with tasks involving GLOBE (PO confirmations, material consumption tracing, LX03 verification, etc). * Ensure completion of the Training Systems on the shift, including OJT and Mandatory Training (Alchemy), and Competency Matrix systems. * Perform AWG assessments and system heath checks * Ownership of the development of Area Lead(s) on their lines or in their area* Develop the capability to lead or support OMP projects **REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:** * High School Diploma. (BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Business, or Information Technology-related field preferred.)* Knowledge of telephone, computer systems, and production/operational systems.* Basic understanding of food manufacturing operations and processes. **EXPERIENCE:** * Experience working in a manufacturing setting, performing clerical and reporting duties.* Strong working knowledge of computer productivity software* Strong experience and knowledge of SAP/GLOBE **SKILLS:** * Reliable, motivated, dedicated, and committed.* Must demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset.* Good communication skills with operators, other mechanics and supervisors* Ability to analyze data and make decisions/recommendations based on analysis.* Ability and willingness to operate and support a positive Nestle culture and follow established values* Ability to integrate into all parts of the operation to support the facility in achieving our goals & objectives* Able to work in a team environment where honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability is expected* Detail oriented individual who accurately records information* Able to work with computers (navigating systems, recording information, using to find information to perform the job)* Has positive conflict management skills* Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision* Accountable for personal development & improvement* Ability to work in a fast paced environment & handle multiple tasks* Interpersonal skills (ability to effectively work with all levels from hourly to management).* Project management/organizational skills.* Time management skills.
