The Analyst is responsible for analyzing used vehicle pricing and inventory trends, making pricing recommendations and ongoing management of existing pricing rules for the dealership group. Additionally, analyst will support various business lines with various reporting and technology needs. Job Responsibilities: Provide regular reporting of pricing key indicators including effect on traffic, profitability and closing percentages as well as comparing targeted objectives vs actual objectives. Perform exception identification analysis to target key areas of where to improve pricing. Complete variance analysis from targets to actual performance and identify root cause for variances. Identify elasticity of vehicle pricing and implement reporting to help drive pricing decisions taking into consideration effect on volume and gross profitability. Work across departments to implement new reporting and data needs and identify new approaches to help manage pricing. Generate methods to automate pricing setting and identify/implement exception reporting. Manage web site pricing process and download applicable web data to analyze for pricing purposes and incorporate into pricing setting strategy.Automotive experience preferred.
