Description:Will be responsible for analyzing layouts, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare labor and material estimates for products, projects, or services. Work closely with managers, engineers and management to determine, track, oversee and advise on project cost estimates vs. actuals. Maintain an effective line of communication with customers and internal departments to assure customers are provided with excellent service and deadlines are met. Maintain excellent documentation, and focus on continuous process improvement.

• Interpret all levels of requests for Quotation requirements from conceptual through design and manufacturing phases.
• Analyze drawings, designs, specifications, and documentation and prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Apply labor, material overhead, period costs, and profit requirements to each estimate.
• Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare bill of materials.
• Collaborate with customers and internal departments to identify customer and company responsibilities.
• Provide improvement recommendations to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
• Collaborate with production employees in the fabrication facility when needed.
• Visit job sites frequently when needed for bigger quotes to identify potential problems.
• Review manufacturing and installer related feedback from customers to improve future quoting.
• Effectively communicate with Purchasing on buy-out items & Freight charges.
• Update cost templates to reflect tariffs & current steel prices.
• Give breakdown & assumed costs for labor & material to Manufacturing during turn-over meeting.

Ability to write reports and business correspondences and effectively present information to management and customers.
