Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:Supports manufacturing processes in the plant; Works
closely with Engineering, Production, QC, and Maintenance team
members providing technical support; Assists in creating and
revising Operation Sheets (OS), Process Control Charts (PCC), and
FMEA; Participates in Quality Kaizens and focuses on scrap cost
reduction; Provides technical training support to Production
Department; Provides back-up support to Engineering Technician I;
Generally, working time is divided approximately 85% floor and 15%
office work. Maintains a positive attitude toward teamwork, safety,
and quality.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Maintains strong attendance;
knows and follows Company policies as directed by the Employee
Handbook, the Safety Rules and Regulations, and the Quality
Manual.2. Troubleshoots manufacturing equipment alarms and product
quality problems as they occur. Works with our Production,
Maintenance, and Engineering department team members to quickly
resolve these problems.3. Assist Production Department with
changing tools, tool holders, and zero machines as needed.4.
Perform routine maintenance on jigs, fixtures, and tooling as
required.5. Supports investigations and make recommendations for
cost reduction activities related to man, machine, methods, and
materials.6. Verifies tools and spare parts necessary for the
proper manufacturing of the production parts and for proper
maintenance of the equipment.7. Supports plant activities to
achieve customer awards and quality registrations such as but not
limited to; IATF16949, ISO 14001, etc.8. Supports
Root-Cause-Corrective-Action activities as needed or requested.9.
Verifies product quality when requested or when an observed product
quality concern arises.10. Collects engineering data such as but
not limited to; CPK study, engineering process changes, machine
cycle time, motion analysis, capacity planning, tooling design,
ergonomics, process layout, cost reduction, etc.11. Supports kaizen
activities as needed to reduce scrap, improve straight through
ratio, and reduce costs.12. Machines and fabricates small parts for
maintenance repairs and kaizen improvements.13. Repairs production
tooling and fixtures as needed.14. Supports rework activities as
needed.15. May be required to assist the off shifts with any
processing problems that may arise.16. Provides On-The-Job training
to Production team members as needed.17. Supports safety concerns
and works to resolve the problem.18. All other duties required of
the job and requested by a member of the Management Team.LEADERSHIP
RESPONSIBILITY:NoneQUALIFICATIONS: (TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND
EDUCATION)Associate degree in Science, Engineering Technology, or a
minimum 7-year experience in engineering technical role required,
or a combination of education and experience.Three years of
previous factory / manufacturing experience preferred.Computer
literate in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experienced
user of AutoCAD or equivalent 2D CAD software.Experience with CNC
machine tool program editing and/or manufacturing assembly
equipment preferred.Above average math and reasoning ability.Able
to read product, tool, and fixture drawings.Knowledge of Lean
Manufacturing topics such as but not limited to; Work Flow Charts,
JIT, PDCA, SMED, 5S, SPC, etc.Excellent verbal and written
communication as well as analytical skills.Able to adhere to a
strict safety regimen and maintain a safety-conscious
environment.PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:Ability to remain stationary for
several hours at a time; Ability to maneuver around the office and
plant; repeatedly bend, squat, move both arms above the head, and
move head straight up and down and side to side; Good hand
strength, good finger dexterity, and ability to rotate wrists,
arms, and shoulders; Good eyesight, hearing, and speaking voice;
and ability to lift approximately 25 lbs.; Ability to communicate
well with others; Ability to produce computer-generated reports
quickly and accurately; Ability to travel on long trips (either by
ground and/or by air) including overnight travel will be required

normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety
